Hi, I'm Prathy

Founder, Data Nova Analytics

I help organisations build data platforms that people actually want to use.

Over 15 years, I've learnt that brilliant data platforms need two things: solid architecture and design that makes sense to your users. As a Microsoft MVP and founder of the London Microsoft Fabric User Group, I combine deep technical expertise with a design-first approach to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

I've been working with Fabric since its private preview days (during my time as a director at Avanade), and I bring that early-adopter experience to every client project. Whether you're building your first Fabric workspace or transforming an enterprise Power BI estate, I'll help you create something that's not just functional, but genuinely useful.

Why Work With Me?

1. Microsoft MVP since 2016

I've been recognised by Microsoft for my contributions to the data community for nearly a decade. This isn't just a badge, it means I'm deeply connected to product teams and stay ahead of platform changes.

2. Design-first philosophy

Most consultants focus purely on technical architecture. I believe great platforms need both solid engineering and thoughtful design. Not just aesthetics, but systems that feel intuitive, where users find insights without training manuals, where architecture serves people. Think Apple's "it just works" philosophy applied to enterprise data.

3. Deep Microsoft data platform experience

Fifteen years building enterprise data platforms with Microsoft technologies - traditional business intelligence, Azure data services, and Power BI. As a Microsoft MVP and Fabric go-to-market lead at Avanade during private preview, I gained early access to how it unifies everything I'd been building separately. I understand what Fabric evolved from and how to bridge your current state to its full potential.

4. Community Leadership

As founder of the London Microsoft Fabric User Group, I'm connected to hundreds of practitioners solving real-world problems. The patterns and solutions I see across the community directly inform how I approach your project. You benefit from collective intelligence, not just one consultant's perspective.

5. Community teacher and learner

Regular speaker at SQLBits, Data Saturdays, and Microsoft Fabric Community Conference. Teaching forces clarity, but I learn as much from audience questions and community conversations as I share. This continuous exchange keeps my approach fresh and informed. Your teams inherit solutions shaped by real-world challenges across industries, explained in ways they can understand and maintain.

Services

I work with organisations at every stage of their data journey - from exploring Microsoft Fabric through proof of concepts to building complete platforms and transforming how teams work with Power BI. Each engagement combines technical expertise with a design-first approach that prioritises user experience alongside architecture.

Power BI & Fabric Consulting

Reports and models that people actually want to use

Transform your Power BI experience with design-first development. I rebuild reports with intuitive UX, optimise semantic models for performance, create self-service templates, and establish governance patterns. The result: reports that are both beautiful and functional, with teams empowered to build their own insights confidently.

Best for: Organisations needing specialized expertise without full platform builds

POCs & Strategic Assessments

Fast validation before full commitment

Get decision-ready insights in 2-4 weeks. I build working proof of concepts with your real data, provide architecture recommendations, assess migration feasibility, and deliver clear roadmaps. Perfect for evaluating Fabric capabilities, solving specific technical challenges, or validating an approach before investing in full-scale implementation.

Best for: Organisations exploring Fabric or needing expert assessment of current data platforms

Fabric Platform Build

Complete platform implementation from architecture to production-ready environment

Build a unified Microsoft Fabric platform tailored to your organisation. I design lakehouse and OneLake architecture, implement data pipelines, develop semantic models, and establish governance frameworks. You get a production-ready platform with trained teams and comprehensive documentation. I can work independently or alongside your team depending on your capacity.

Best for: Organisations building their first unified data platform or transforming traditional BI infrastructure
